ColdFusion 9 Released

On Wednesday Febuary 3rd 2010 between 12am and 3am MST GearHost will be upgrading all shared web servers to ColdFusion 9. The upgrade will bring many new features and enhancements to all customers using ColdFusion. Below is some additional information on the new features included with ColdFusion 9 and how this will affect your website.

PDF Support and Enhancements
CFPRESENTATION
Spreadsheet support (CFSPREADSHEET)
CFCHART, CFDOCUMENT, CFPDF, CFIMAGE, and more!
CFMAPS (Google Maps)

Will my current website work built in CF 6, 7, and 8 Code?
Absolutely. COldFusion 9 was designed to be completely backwards compatible with previous versions of ColdFusion. CFMX 5 applications can even be updated easily to work. ColdFusion (MX 6.x, 7, and 8) applications should seamlessly migrate to ColdFusion 9. Most ColdFusion 5 applications can also be migrated easily to ColdFusion 9.
